You have a body that deserves to be worked with, not against.

Considering XP? Read about the coaching relationship first

The vast majority of XP athletes training for endurance events finish on the podium, overall or in their age group. We've had winners at the Bataan Death March and Boston Tough Ruck. We've had athletes invited to compete in the Barkley Fall Classic.

We've also coached athletes through rheumatoid arthritis, congestive heart failure, and serious injury, safely, progressively, and with results that surprised even them.

What these athletes share isn't the same goal. It's the same need: training built around who they actually are, not who a generic plan assumes them to be.

We don't break people and call it coaching.

If you have a serious event on the calendar, a body that requires thoughtful programming, or you're simply done guessing, this is where that changes.

Most serious athletes don't lack discipline. They lack clarity, consistency, and a coach who removes the guesswork.

Serious doesn't mean extreme. It means intentional.

XP helps you:

  • Train with a plan that's built around your body, your event, and your actual life
  • Break through plateaus without burning yourself out
  • Know exactly what you're doing each week and why
  • Build genuine confidence that your training decisions are right
  • Have a coach who adjusts when life, injury, or your body requires it

Your investment isn't in a product. It's in preventing the wasted months that come from guessing.

What You Get:

  • Weekly Personalized Training Workouts tailored to your goals, constraints, calendar, and performance history. No more guessing.
  • Bi-Weekly Progress Evaluation Real coach check-ins to adjust, avoid stagnation, and keep your efforts productive.
  • One-Hour Onboarding Call Before a single workout is written, we spend an hour together covering your history, your goals, and a movement assessment so I can see where you are before I build anything
  • App Access + Messaging Access to your coach, accountability, and training clarity.
  • Event Planning Guidance Structured progression built around your events, your capabilities, and your timeline.

Who is XP for?

Athletes who are done leaving their progress to chance.

That looks different for everyone. Some XP athletes are chasing podiums and event PRs. Others are rebuilding carefully after injury, illness, or years away from consistent training. Some are navigating chronic conditions that require a coach who actually understands the difference between productive discomfort and damage.

What they share is simple: they want training that's deliberate, responsive, and built around who they actually are.

If that's you, regardless of where you're starting from, XP was built with you in mind.

What our athletes say

Example of PATHFINDER XP coaching app

If you've spent months training without seeing clear progress, XP pays for itself -- not just in results, but in the wasted months it prevents.

"I hadn't stopped training, but I had stopped seeing progress. XP gave me direction again.

The results have been staggering. They're intentional and target areas where I'm weak. Amy is accommodating, friendly, and not afraid to challenge me. I haven't felt this strong in years and I fully expect to continue once this cycle is complete."

-- Coleman Morrell, PATHFINDER 14-395... Training from a suitcase, 20 days a month on the road.

XP is for you if:

  • You're already training but progress feels unclear or stalled
  • You want a coach who removes guesswork and adapts week to week
  • You're working around real constraints: injury history, chronic illness, or limited time
  • You want structure that responds to your life, not a static plan you're supposed to fit into
  • You care about doing this well, not just doing more

What makes XP different in practice:

Your first week of training is delivered within 72 hours of your intake call. It's built around your equipment, your schedule, and what you actually told me matters to you. It's a plan that started from scratch with you in mind.

Every week after that, we adjust. Your feedback shapes what comes next. If life gets complicated, we adapt. If you're ready for more, we move forward.

You'll never wonder what you should be doing or why.

Whether you're preparing for the hardest event of your life or simply trying to stay strong inside a life that doesn't slow down, I'm in your corner the whole way.

Who Will Be My Trainer?

I'm Amy Petersen, and I've spent the last decade coaching endurance athletes starting with bootcamps, then evolving my own athletic journey through triathlons, GORUCK events, races, and a genuine love of strength training.

I've trained the way you train. I've stood at start lines nervous, pushed through events that humbled me, and learned firsthand what thoughtful programming actually feels like in a body that has to show up and perform.

That experience is behind every XP program I write.

I'm also the Director of Programming for PATHFINDER, the training system behind over 11,000 ruck endurance athletes worldwide. XP is the highest-touch work I do, and I keep it intentionally small so every athlete gets the attention that makes the difference.

I don't believe in coaching that breaks people down and calls it progress. I believe in training that's built around who you are, what you're working toward, and what your body actually needs to get there.

If that's the kind of coach you've been looking for, I'd love to work with you.

Use Your HSA or FSA for PATHFINDER Coaching

All you need is a Letter of Medical Necessity from your physician. Once you have it, submit your PATHFINDER receipts to your administrator for possible reimbursement. We provide itemized receipts with service dates, coaching details, and credentials upon request.

PATHFINDER does not bill insurance directly. Eligibility depends on your individual plan and provider. Confirm with your HSA/FSA administrator before purchase.
